Tragic news out of Steamboat Ski Resort in Colorado, where a 25-year-old Steamboat Springs resident died following an accident on the popular Buddy’s Run intermediate trail.

According to Steamboat Pilot & Today, Steamboat Ski & Resort Corporation Director of Communications Maren Franciosi confirmed the accident occurred at the resort on Saturday, March 21st.

“We sadly did have a serious accident that took place on the mountain today off Buddy’s Run involving a member of our community. Our Ski Patrol responded immediately and provided life-saving care, but despite these efforts, the individual passed away.” – Maren Franciosi

The victim has been identified by the Routt County Coroner’s Office as 25-year-old Jack McGrath. Our deepest thoughts and condolences are with the friends and family of the deceased at this time.
