Idaho, Montana, and New York — Two ski resorts on opposite sides of the United States are offering great lift ticket deals for skiers and riders this week. Lookout Pass in Montana/Idaho and Titus Mountain in New York, both of which are independent ski resorts, are offering lift tickets this week for $1 or less.
Over at Lookout Pass, it’s been a drier season than desired. Still, they’re among the ski resorts out West in the best shape. Lookout Pass has received 361″ at the summit, and 234″ at the base. This Thursday, Lookout Pass is offering 91-cent lift tickets in honor of its 91st anniversary.
Meanwhile, Titus Mountain will be closed for the workweek to preserve the snowpack for its closing day. On its closing day, March 28th, they’ll be bringing back 100 Pennies Day. This means that if you have one hundred pennies (which may not be possible now due to them being discontinued), four quarters, twenty nickels, ten dimes, or $1, you can get a lift ticket for Saturday. Other discounts include $1 rentals, 50% off snow tubing, 50% off merch, and 50% off food and beverage (if you’re a season passholder).
About Lookout Pass
Opened during the 1935-36 season, Lookout Pass is one of the only ski resorts that’s situated in two states. The ski resort features 52 trails and 8 glades across 1,023 skiable acres of skiable terrain. Recent additions include Eagle Peak expansion and a new base lodge. Thanks to the Eagle Peak expansion, it now has a vertical drop of 1,650 feet. It’s among the snowiest ski resorts out West, as it averages 450 inches.
For Lookout Pass, they eventually have to get ready for bike season. The ski resort operates the Route of the Hiawatha bike trail, which typically opens in late May.

About Titus Mountain
The northernmost ski resort in New York is in a snow belt. The ski center features 53 trails, 9 lifts, and a vertical drop of 1,200 feet. Titus also hosts night skiing and snow tubing. During the week, the upper mountain is available for private parties or corporate rentals. The ski resort currently features 10 slopeside chalets and has begun selling lots for real estate development. While the slopes are quiet during the offseason, the owners of Titus run a sand and gravel business to support local construction projects.
