New York After a cold and snowy winter, Greek Peak is planning for a busy offseason.

Late last week, Greek Peak Mountain Resort revealed that it plans to undertake a $3 million project this summer. Originally planned to be spread out over 4 years, the Central New York ski resort will work to complete it all during the 2026 offseason. The project will include adding 250 HKD KLIK Snowguns, 33,000 feet of new snowmaking pipe, and a new 450-horsepower pump. The new pump will allow Greek Peak to increase its snowmaking capacity by 20%.

“Snowmaking is the heart of our winter operation,” said Wes Kryger, President of Greek Peak Mountain Resort. “This was originally a four-year plan being accelerated into a one-year plan, and it represents one of the most aggressive infrastructure upgrades in our resort’s history. It not only increases our efficiency and sustainability but ensures guests can count on top-tier conditions season after season.”

“Our goal is simple—deliver the best skiing and riding experience possible. This investment reinforces our mission to be the top regional ski destination that is expected of Central New York’s Home Mountain.”

This snowmaking infrastructure will be installed on the East Side of the mountain. Additionally, snowguns on several trails will be upgraded. The following trails will receive new snowguns and/or pipe:

  • Arcadian Gate
  • Lower Arcadian Gate
  • Crisaean Way
  • Arethusa Way
  • Mars Hill Connection
  • Upper Mars Hill
  • Marathon
  • Upper Pollux
  • Olympian
  • Alpha
