The Summit County Sheriff’s Office of Summit County, Colorado, is looking to identify three dirt bikers who were riding on non-motorized muddy trails behind the Summit Cove neighborhood on the Soda Creek trail.

Based on images shared by the Sheriff’s Office, the dirt bikers did quite a bit of damage to the muddy trails. Officers spent a fair amount of Sunday, March 22nd, looking for the offenders, but were unable to locate anyone.

The individuals were reportedly riding in the area on Saturday as well. If you know the people involved or see similar behavior, the Sheriff’s Office encourages you to let them know right away through the non-emergency dispatch number of 970-668-8600.

Trails are built for specific purposes, and dirt bikers riding on muddy trails not built for their heavy machines can quickly destroy the trail and its surrounding area. Dirt biking is fun, but it needs to be kept off non-motorized trails.
