MOUNT MORRIS, Wis. — Nordic Mountain is extending its ski season through the weekend following a recent blizzard that brought fresh snow to the region. The resort will be open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday for skiing Co-owner and general manager Bill Ringenoldus said the storm created an opportunity to keep the slopes open longer than planned.

In Nordic Mountain’s 50-year history, the ski area has only operated into April once:

“It’s always fun to have an extra weekend to get out, and it’s a good time. The weather’s going to be warm. You’ll be able to ski in T-shirts.” -Eric Schwister, Outdoor Operations Manager at Nordic Mountain

Cheers to all the Wisconsin skiers and snowboarders who will cash in on this bonus weekend of skiing!
