Mt. Baldy, California — If you’re looking to obtain a chairlift for your backyard setup, a SoCal ski resort has quite the deal for you.

Last week, Mt. Baldy Resort launched its annual pass sale. Since it’s their 75th anniversary, they’re offering rewards with each pass purchase. What sets it apart from other ski resorts is its one-year passes, which include summer access. A one-year pass comes with a t-shirt. A two-year pass comes with a trucker hat. The three-year pass comes with a 75th anniversary hoodie. The sweetest perk of them all? The four-year pass comes with all of the above-mentioned gifts, plus one of the old Thunder Mountain chairs.

About Mt. Baldy

Mt. Baldy features 26 trails across 600 skiable acres, 4 lifts, and a vertical drop of 2,100 feet.

Mt. Baldy was recently featured by the Los Angeles Times. Competition-wise, it’s surrounded by Alterra-owned resorts, meaning it’s one of the independent holdouts. The article’s title made it seem that its business was in dire straits. What a terrible thing to do, I would never do such a thing. In reality, Mt. Baldy has established a market of passionate skiers who appreciate its independence. I’d have to say that if I lived in LA, I could see myself frequenting Mt. Baldy in both winter and summer.

Mt. Baldy is currently closed due to the heat wave, but it hopes to reopen for skiing sometime this spring.
