Making snow at Tyrol Basin for a surprise St. Patrick's Day reopening.

If you’re looking for a great way to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day in Wisconsin, consider heading to Tyrol Basin for a night of surprise skiing.

Tyrol Basin was initially set to shut down for the season after this past weekend, with a end-of-season pond skim going down on Sunday, March 15th. But the Wisconsin ski area has decided to open their lifts for one day and one day only this Tuesday, March 17th.

Skiing and snowboarding will be available from 4pm-9pm, with just the A and C lifts operating. Tickets will cost just $20, and all season passes will be accepted. Nisse, Double D, Yodeler, Daredevil, Uller, and Underwood all have fresh snow, while Gentle Ben, Trollway, Sunrise, Barnyard, Hand Down, Tobel, Bump Buster, West Ridge, and Sandy’s are all groomed.

Additionally Tyrol Basin will offer St. Patrick’s Day Specials in the Chalet throughout the evening. Items in the gift shop are 25% off today, or 50% off for season pass holders. Don’t miss your last chance to ski Tyrol!
