Skiers and snowboarders can be shockingly innovative when it comes to creating their own ways to shred park, and this video from Backyard Boarder Co by Rosas Leon is further proof of that. In search of a way to remove hiking from the backyard ski/snowboard experience, he built a DIY ski lift rope tow out of an old riding lawn mower, picking up the thing off Facebook Marketplace.

It’s a pretty impressive design, especially given that he didn’t compromise the mower itself through the creation. If wanted to, come spring/summer, he could use the old machine to mow some lawns or sell it for some extra cash. Though hopefully he holds onto it, given how sweet this rope tow setup is.
