Originating in Germany, long-haired dachshunds are affectionate, intelligent, and slightly stubborn little hounds known for their long, silky coats with feathering on their legs and ears. Bred to companion hunters, these adorable dogs excel in dense underbrush or retrieving game from water but their luxurious coats are apparently less than ideal in powder snow conditions as evidenced in this recent video from New York.

The following footage comes from a parking garage in Brooklyn, New York after a powerful blizzard blanketed the five boroughs in more than a foot and half of snow. Little Enzo and Larry had a blast playing around in the freshly fallen snow but ended up with laden with snowy keepsakes after their winter romp:

Notably a famous long-haired miniature dachshund has been front page news in the world of Formula 1 as Charles Leclerc’s dog Leo was featured prominently in wedding ceremony to his longtime girlfriend Alexandra Saint Mleux. Leo is a fixture in the Formula 1 paddock and looked sharp in his little tuxedo for the nuptials in his hometown of Monte Carlo, Monaco:
