At this point, most people have seen clips from Kings and Queens of Corbet’s, one of the greatest freeride ski and snowboard competitions of the year. It brings together Olympians, X Games athletes, and other pros to throw the wildest runs of the year into Jackson Hole Mountain Resort‘s legendary Corbet’s Couloir. But what about the gnarliest crashes of the year?
In the past, catching the best wipeouts required someone filming from the top. Today, the new Corbet’s Couloir live camera gives us access to some truly epic wipeouts from comfort of our own homes. This gnarly crash might be the best one we’ve seen this year, especially since, according to the comments, the person was okay afterwards.
The error made by this skier does not seem to be an uncommon one. They attempted to take the drop with too much caution, sticking their skis into the wall and spinning themselves around. There are plenty of ways to successfully ski Corbet’s Couloir, and that is not one of them.
