Lake Tahoe, California – After a historic 100-inch snowstorm swept through Palisades Tahoe in California, the best skiers in the valley were frothing to get first tracks on The Fingers off the famous KT-22 chairlift.
Step one to getting first tracks is arriving early and establishing pole position in the chairlift line; step two is rocketing down the mountain to arrive at The Fingers first. Local skier Noah Gaffney wasn’t on the first chair, but he sure knows how to make up for lost time as he flew down the ridgeline at mach speed, passing several of his friends along the way.
Ultimately, Noah beat the pack and chose to descend The Middle Finger in what he is claiming as “the fastest run down the fingers ever”:
Take note of Noah’s full-throated appreciation for ski patrol as he approached the unloading zone, thanking the row of patrollers for all the hard work it took to open up this legendary terrain. Super classy move and a true sign of a skier who knows the terrain and what it takes to keep skiers like himself safe out there. Gratitude is the best attitude in the mountains.
