Barrie, Ontario — Early in the morning this past January, a notable ski resort safe theft occurred.
On the morning of January 2nd, it was discovered that a safe containing more than $17,000 CAD (around $12,423 USD) had been raided. In response, the Orillia Ontario Provincial Police (OPP)Â launched an investigation.
This week, OrillaMatters.com reports that a suspect has been detained. The 49-year-old man was charged with theft over $5,000 CAD.
