Grand Haven, Michigan — In order to continue to operate, one Michigan ski hill needs support from viewers like you.

This ski season, Mulligan’s Hollow Ski Bowl (which is a non-profit) has been fundraising to upgrade its snowmaking system. At this point, their snowmaking system is at risk of critical failure. While they’ve made it through this winter, there’s concern they won’t be able to operate next winter.

The first phase includes replacing the underground plumbing and electrical lines, installing a new pump system and pumphouse, and preparing for the second phase.

The second phase of the project, which is just before the winter of 2026-27, would replace the older equipment with new energy-efficient snowmaking infrastructure. That phase is expected to cost $461,833.60. I like how extremely precise that calculation is.

So far, Mulligan’s has raised $330,000 of its $640,000 phase one goal. According to Fox 17 West Michigan, they’re looking to raise $1.5 million over the next two years. You can help out with those efforts here.
