The East Coast has had an incomparable snow year to the West but it’s looking like that might finally start to change.
Storms are starting to roll in this week and through the weekend, with things ramping up in the early days of next week. Open Snow is reporting 43’’ inches at Alta in the 6-10 forecast, 50’’ in Palisades Tahoe, and 13’’ at Copper Mountain. Revelstoke just received 16” and is expecting 16” more in the next two weeks.
After the year we have been having even a six inch storm can make all the difference in the snowpack, let alone a fifty inch storm. This is all projected too, but it can’t hurt to hope. This storm is coming at a good time, as President’s Day is this Monday and many folks will get one extra day to enjoy this fresh snow.
Buckle up, get your snorkels ready, and start doing your snow dances in hopes that winter may finally come in the next couple of weeks. Keep up with all your weather apps to see the latest in snow reports across the country.
