Escaped wallaby in Colorado.
Escaped wallaby in Colorado.

Douglas County Sheriff’s Office (DCSO) deputies responded to a call earlier this month that’s quite unusual for a town in Colorado.

The DCSO received a call for an escaped animal, but it wasn’t a dog, cat, or really anything you’d expect. Instead, it was Charlie the Wallaby, an animal that’s very much a real wallaby (that you can follow here on Instagram).

The escaped wallaby was successfully returned home with nobody hurt throughout the encounter. This is certainly a call that every responding deputy will remember throughout their career.
