CORTINA D’AMPEZZO, Italy — Lindsey Vonn was discharged on Sunday from the Italian hospital where she was admitted a week ago after the horrific Olympic crash that resulted in a complex tibia fracture. Rueters reports Vonn was heading to the airport in the northern Italian town of Treviso.

In a social media post on Saturday, Vonn provided an update on her recovery stating her fourth round of surgery had gone well and she looked forward to returning home to America.

Vonn had been in the Ca’ Foncello Hospital in Treviso since last Sunday and was deemed in stable enough condition to return to the US where another operation is scheduled. Best wishes to Lindsey as she returns home and continues her recovery.
