Aspen Snowmass's new Cirque T-Bar.

Today marked opening day for Aspen Snowmass‘s new Cirque T-Bar at Snowmass, with a ribbon cutting taking place at 11am at the base of the new lift.

The ceremony was open to the public with guests invited to celebrate and ride the new T-Bar for the first time. The lift provides access to terrain including trails from the High Pass to the High Alpine trails and Rocky Mountain High. The Cirque Headwall and further terrain will open as conditions allow.

“Opening the Cirque T-Bar is the result of many months of work across our mountain operations teams, from summer construction to the extensive snowcat and patrol efforts required to prepare this terrain. It’s a meaningful investment in one of our most unique zones at Snowmass, and we’re excited to see guests back up here skiing and riding the Cirque.” – Susan Cross, Vice President of Mountain Operations, Aspen Skiing Company.

The new T-Bar doubles the rider capacity and reduces the wait times when compared to the former platter lift. The Cirque is the highest elevation lift across the Aspen Snowmass resort system, in addition to being the only T-Bar lift across the four mountains.

Guests should be aware that the Cirque T-Bar serves expert terrain only. Conditions off the lift are often variable. Up-to-date terrain status can be found on the Aspen Snowmass app.
