Surprise announcement from the folks at Natural Selection Tour who just revealed their Ski Wildcard athlete for the upcoming NST Ski Alaska event:
“The Ski Boss is headed to Alaska. Hailing from Kalispell, Montana, Tanner Hall helped define modern freeskiing, dominating the freestyle contest circuit for years and setting a standard that still echoes today. Known for rising to the moment when the stakes are highest, he now brings that same instinct into the backcountry.”
Super pumped to see Tanner Hall take on the slopes of Valdez competing against 7 of the best male big mountain skiers in the world. This is going to be awesome!
Natural Selection Ski 2026
In spring 2026 Natural Selection Ski will gather fan-favorite male and female skiers from slopestyle to freeride, as they navigate Alaska’s most iconic zones. Utilizing innovative filming techniques, including high-speed drones, the event will capture the artistry of skiing in breathtaking detail, allowing viewers to experience each carve and jump as if they were on the slopes.
The Natural Selection Ski returns to Alaska in 2026 for a high-stakes, head-to-head freeski showdown. Set deep in the backcountry in Alaska, eight men and four women will compete across a weather window, pushing boundaries with massive lines, creative tricks, and big-mountain style. Judged on creativity, risk, execution, difficulty, and flow, the event celebrates skiers who read the terrain as much as they ride it. The action will premiere exclusively on Red Bull TV on April 14, 2026.
