Scored - Quicksilver
Scored - Quicksilver

Travis Rice, Sammy Carlson, Werni Stock, and Miles Fallon took on Alaska last April to create Quicksilver’s film Scored. One week of absolute shredding from two veterans and two first-timers – three snowboarders and a skier.

The snow was deep and the skis were blue, making for perfect filming conditions as these guys threw down totally insane lines. Big tricks, big crashes, and big smiles were standout features of this film. This is a no nonsense movie (mostly) so while fun was most certainly had, the actual skiing and snowboarding are the primary features of the movie.

The clips were jaw-dropping as these guys put down insane tricks on seemingly unskiable terrain. The artistic eye of Sean Aaron (director of photography), makes the Alaskan landscape unmistakable. Incredibly huge spines, clear skis, and unlimited powder slashes truly instilled a sense of joy when watching.

Seeing these sports that are beloved by this community be so well executed both physically and visually established the true purpose of ski films. Generating stoke. In the heart of the ski season, and after a long day of skiing, watching this movie made me want to strap my boots right back on.
