In 2026, your average NFL halftime show, especially when it comes to the Super Bowl, involves a ton of glitz, glamour and production value with international superstar artists taking center stage while the players rest up during intermission.
Halftime entertainment was quite different in the 1970s when entire stadiums of fans watched attack dog sic their trainers, frisbee dogs going deep for high flying receptions and snowmobilers pinning it at loop-d-loop contraptions on the sidelines.
The following loop-de-loop stunt was performed at a regular season Vikings game on December 10th, 1970. If you are familiar with how late model snowmobiles perform, it makes it all the more impressive:

Snowmobile stunts at NFL events have not fallen completely out of favor in the modern age, here’s Levi LaVallee laying out a backflip over the Super Bowl LIVE event in Minneapolis back in 2018. What an homage, love the helmet!
