Dayton, Washington — Unfortunate news for skiers and snowboarder who call Ski Bluewood in southern Washington their home resort as they just announced they have been forced to suspend operations due to a thin snowpack.
The resort is suffering the same fate as many in the Pacific Northwest where warmer than usual temperatures have made it tough to keep trails opens. Ski Bluewood has made the difficult decision to close down until they receive additional snow.
“After closely evaluating today’s conditions, weโve made the difficult decision to suspend operations until we receive additional snowfall. The good news is that a storm is expected on Sunday night, so be on the lookout for an update on Monday evening regarding a potential Thursday or Friday reopening.” -Ski Bluewood
Fingers crossed the expected storm delivers much needed relief with 3 to 7 inches of snow forecasted Sunday night into Monday. For the latest operation updates from Ski Bluewood go HERE.
