Kings and Queens of Corbet's Couloir.
Kings and Queens of Corbet's Couloir.

Every year skiers gather at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort to watch pros throw huge tricks off the cornice into the famous run of Corbet’s Couloir. This iconic ski and snowboard event has been going on for seven years now and has become a staple competition of each winter with stoke levels growing every year.

The athletes range from FWT Champions, to Olympians, to X-Games winners. There is no telling what kind of rider will top the podium. These skiers and boarders have excelled in all disciplines of freeskiing but as Corbet’s proves to be its own challenge, there’s no telling which type of riding leads to the win.

When the weather window provides ideal conditions, the event will be livestreamed as athletes are not only competing for the title of King or Queen but also $50,000 in cash prizes. This is a peer judged competition and each discipline (male skiing, male snowboarding, female skiing, female snowboarding) will have a podium of three riders taking home cash prizes.

The overall highest male and females scorers will be crowned King and Queen and win an additional $5,000. The energy is always high with these kinds of competitors.

2025 Merch is available online and this year’s merchandise can be purchased at JH Sports, Teton Village Sports, and the Resort Store. If you’re looking to support this competition and Jackson Hole don’t hesitate to buy your gear now.

If you’re from out of town but looking to watch, lift tickets are discounted online now, so book early and save. The weekend doesn’t stop with skiing, they have a DJ set, athlete signings, giveaways, and more.

Some athletes to keep an eye on are last year’s Queen Ana Eyssimont and male runner up Alex Hackel. They’ll be joined by local Wyatt Gentry and veteran Piper Kunst as 23 total athletes gear up to compete.
