The first ever Freeride World Championships were hosted today, February 3rd, at at Ordino Arcalís in Andorra, bringing 65 of the world’s best freeride skiers and snowboarders from 17 nations together for one incredible competition.
There were a lot of truly incredible runs, but there could only be 4 winners. All of the top competitors represented different countries, with a World Championship title claimed for the United States, Poland, Switzerland, and New Zealand. These are all of the winning runs.
Snowboard Men
In the men’s snowboard category, Swiss rider Liam Rivera snagged the first place with a stunning run, beating French rider Victor de Le Rue (2nd place) and U.S. snowbaorder Michael Mawn (3rd place). That marks his second first place finish of the winter, with him winning the 2026 Baqueira Beret Pro by Movistar.
Snowboard Women
First place in the women’s snowboard category was taken by U.S. snowboarder Mia Jones, her second first place finish and third podium of the year. She beat out French rider Noémie Equy (2nd place) and Spanish rider Núria Castán Barón (3rd place).
Ski Men
A truly gorgeous line gave New Zealand skier Ben Richards the first place position in the men’s skiing, his third first place finish in three total starts for 2026. His incredible run beat out French skier Ugo Troubat (2nd place) and U.S. skier Kai Jones (3rd place).
Ski Women
Polish skier Zuzanna Witych took the first place position in the women’s skiing with a beautifully smooth run, beating out Canadian skier Justine Dufour-Lapointe (2nd place) and U.S. skier Molly Armanino (3rd place). The Freeride World Championships marks her first podium finish of the 2026 season.
