Delightful video from the slopes of Teton Pass Ski Resort in Montana where a 12-year-old English Labrador named Sochi Fruitbear is enjoying her retirement after a career as an avalanche rescue dog:
“She is living out a dreamy retired avalanche rescue dog life, taking chairlift laps and otter sliding down her favorite runs. She is 12 years old and still healthy and able. She’s as friendly as they get. Say “hi” if you see her and no, she doesn’t need the other half of your cheeseburger”
Sochi may not be an active avalanche dog any longer but she is an incredible ambassador for the mountain and the essence of loving your place of work. If you see her on the hill say hello but don’t go giving her any cheeseburgers.
