Snowboarders take on a 100 foot jump.

Snowboard big air jumps at major competitions, whether it be the Olympics or World Cup events, range in sizes usually from 50-75 feet at the top level. The X Games Big Air, for example, is made up of a single 75-foot hybrid jump. That’s generally measured from takeoff to the start of the landing, so a jump can be bigger if the person hitting it goes with a bit of extra speed.

This 100 foot jump isn’t the largest jump ever built, but it’s still a pretty serious air. Several of the world’s best snowboarders, including Mark McMorris, Zeb Powell, Brock Crouch, and Kuba Hrones, came together to session this huge jump and the results were pretty gnarly.

This massive 100 foot jump was built for PAVED, a snowboard co-production by Burton and Red Bull Media House. The whole movie is a great experience, functioning partially as a history lesson, partially as a backcountry adventure, and partially as a general snowboard hangout with some of the world’s greatest snowboarders.
