Gen, the official photographer for Myoko Suginohara ski resort in Japan, received quite the surprise when the random snowboarder he approached for a photograph turned out to be snowboarding legend Travis Rice. He initially approached the man simply because he thought he looked cool, at least according to his introduction, only realizing that it was the influential athlete after asking for his name.
Travis Rice, if you somehow don’t know, is an X-Games gold medalist, snowboard film star, big mountain freestyle pioneer, and founder of the Natural Selection Tour. Based on how he acts in this video he’s also an incredibly nice guy, happily allowing Gen to grab some pictures of him and staying very kind throughout the encounter.
