The recent winter storm that slammed North America over the weekend brought along heavy snowfall, delivering some serious snow totals to ski resorts and ski areas from the Rocky Mountains to New England. These 3 ski areas on the East Coast have seen 2 feet or more of snow in the past 24 hours alone.

1. Mountain Creek Resort, New Jersey

The past 24 hours brought just around 24 inches of snow to Mountain Creek Resort, creating a serious powder wonderland across the New Jersey ski area. As of January 26th, 43 trails and 8 lifts are open to skiers and snowboarders, with powder and machine groomed conditions found around the mountain.

2. Ski Sundown, Connecticut

Connecticut isn’t usually thought of as a major skiing destination, but Ski Sundown‘s 24 inches in the last 24 hours certainly make it shine on the map. With the new snowfall, Sundown has a base depth of between 30-40 inches and 100% of the ski area open. They’re open on Monday from 9am-10pm.

3. Windham Mountain Club, New York

New York’s Windham Mountain Club appears to have won the powder sweepstakes for New York, bringing at least 2 feet of snow in over the past 24 hours. 54 of 54 trails are open, with a base depth on the mountain of around 46 inches. Today’s high at Windham is a chilly 18ยฐF.
