Dresser, WI — On January, 9th, 2026 skiers and snowboarders up in Wisconsin set out on a unique challenge when they looped the legendary rope tow at Trollhaugen Ski Resort from 10:00am to 2:30am in what they have deemed the “Longest Lap” contest. 28 participants began the challenge but only 15 spent the full 16.5 hours riding the Valhalla rope tow.

After full day of skiing that went well into the night, skier Nick Drye came out on top with an incredible 218.79 miles skied.
