Telluride, Colorado — A lot happened during the Telluride ski patrol strike, so you may have missed this story that featured an interesting town council meeting.
On January 7th, the Telluride and Mountain Village Councils were holding a joint meeting. At one point, a supporter of the ski patrol was speaking. Councilperson Permakoff’s mic was unmuted, and she called the individual a “dumb bitch.”
After this clip went viral, the Mayor of Telluride issued a statement denouncing the Councilperson’s comments. While he did call the comment careless, he stated it didn’t meet the grounds for removal.
Since those comments, the ski patrol strike has concluded. As of January 20th, the Councilperson remains in her position.
