Flooding on US 2 leading up to Stevens Pass
Flooding on US 2 leading up to Stevens Pass

From December 23 through December 31 of the 2025 holiday season Stevens Pass faced road closures due to extreme flooding and torrential rains. Much of Washington was under extreme flood risk during the month of December and local skiers were no strangers to the impacts. Stevens Pass is an Epic Mountain Resort and because of this, road closures and traffic wouldn’t usually qualify for refunds per Epic’s policies. However, with these extenuating circumstances, Epic has decided to offer a one-time extension to the “Extended Resort Closure” policy.

All eligible pass holders were notified by email. Pass holders eligible for refunds are those that did not use their passes during the period of December 23-31, 2025 and either:

  1. Purchased a Stevens Pass Premium Pass or Stevens Pass Select Pass for the 2025/26 season.
  2. Purchased any 2025/26 Epic Pass product and identified Stevens Pass as their primary resort for either
    • The core season or,
    • For one or more priority days between December 23 and December 31, 2025 before December 8, 2025 (the Epic Coverage selection deadline).

Specific refund amounts will vary depending on any particular selection of Epic Coverage and the number of days skied on your 2025/26 Epic Pass. For most pass holders a 7% refund of the dollar amount paid for passes will be refunded. If your pass was used at Stevens Pass or other resorts during a period included in Epic Coverage, those days will be included in the calculation for a refund. Refunds will be in the form of paper checks mailed to the address in your Epic account during the month of May 2026.

Additional information can be found in the Epic Coverage Terms and Conditions page and questions not answered online can be directed to the Stevens Pass Guest Services by phone at (206) 812-4510.

The road has now been opened to Stevens Pass just in time for a big storm bringing 4 feet of snow, restoring fun and good skiing for the season.
