I-70 mountain corridor traffic forecast.
I-70 mountain corridor traffic forecast.

MLK weekend can be quite a mess when it comes to traveling along Colorado’s I-70 mountain corridor, but this year’s is looking to be a bit more unpredictable than previous ones. With lighter snow fall and several events going on this weekend, traffic is likely to look a little different. CDOT‘s Rod provides a look at this weekend’s traffic forecast.

The main things that could impact the traffic include the limited new snowfall and the Broncos game on Saturday. Friday will likely see westbound traffic between 2-6pm with delays at Floyd Hill, but football could keep traffic low on Saturday. Sunday and Monday will both likely see some traffic with day-trippers, but the lack of snow might keep people home. No promises though, there’s always the potential for heavy traffic on I-70.
