Enumclaw, Washington — Are you trying to avoid paying for parking reservations at Crystal Mountain? One option is to buy a vacant lot up there. However, it’ll cost you a little bit more than a parking reservation.
KING 5 reports that the two final lots of a subdivision at Crystal Mountain Resort have gone on sale. These lots are a part of the Gold Hill Estates. According to their website, the two lots are going for $1,399,500 and $1,850,000. These are the final two of the 37 parcels, meaning that this is the last chance to build a home there in Gold Hills. However, there is one new home for sale there priced at nearly $4 million.
This land was originally part of the original rope tow operation at Crystal Mountain. In 1962, work began on creating a subdivision. Meeks’ home was even featured in Life Magazine in 1966.
“Very few people know about this community,” said Dana Meeks, Gold Hill’s developer and also a former pro ski racer. “They look over and they see a few roofs up here, and they wonder. They’ve never imagined there’s 37 home sites up here. And right now, we are down to the last two.”
Getting to your future home is a unique experience in the winter. You either take a snowcat up or ride the Gold Hills chairlift. It’s a fun commute that surely beats sitting in traffic on a powder morning.
This seems like the final opportunity to build a home at Crystal Mountain, as it is private property located within a national forest. If you’ve dreamed of a home at Crystal, here’s your chance.
