Switzerland — Getting to the Olympics isn’t an easy thing, even if you’re a two-time gold medalist. A tight window of events means you need to be healthy for that stretch, and an injury can derail everything. That’s currently what Chloe Kim is facing following a nasty crash in the pipe.

On Thursday, Chloe Kim shared that she suffered an injury while training at a halfpipe at Laax. It was the second injury she’s suffered this season, as the first one occurred while training at Copper Mountain. This time around, its belioeved that she dislocated her shoulder, which means she needs to undergo an MRI. With the Olympics less than a month away, this could risk her ability to qualify. A recovery time for this type of injury ranges from a couple of weeks to a few months.

“The positive thing is, I have range, I’m not in that much pain, I just don’t want it to keep popping out, which has happened,” said Kim. “I’m just trying to stay really optimistic. I feel really good about where my snowboarding is at right now, so I know the minute I get cleared and I’m good to go, I should be fine.”

As of Sunday, an update hasn’t been shared on Kim’s health. We’ll keep you posted on the latest Olympic news, including Kim’s status for them.
