Jackson Hole Mountain Resort ski patrollers have voted against unionization with 32 votes for the union and 42 opposing it. Jackson Hole ski patrollers first filed a petition for a union representation election with the National Labor Relations Board back in November, 2025.

The results come after four voting sessions carried out over two days in Jackson Hole Mountain Resort’s mountain operations building. Notably some ballots were challenged and the results of the vote are not final.

Jackson Hole News & Guide reports The National Labor Relations Board has not certified the results and is reviewing the challenged ballots and other “procedural matters.” 16 ballots were challenged in total of which 4 were cast by new hires and 12 by supervisors.

“The final outcome is pending. The National Labor Relations Board will review the challenges and make the final decision on how to proceed.” – Jackson Hole Mountain Resort Spokesperson, Andriana Rogers

The starting wage for Jackson Hole ski patrol is $23 an hour. Full-time ski patrollers are eligible for a 401(k) but not health insurance. We will be sure to update this story as more information becomes available.
