The most entertaining thing to happen at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort every year is likely the Kings & Queens of Corbet’s, a competition that asks some of the best freeride skiers and snowboarders to send it into one of the most iconic on-snow venues: Corbet’s Couloir.
The second most entertaining thing to happen at Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is the live camera they’ve placed at Corbet’s Couloir, allowing anyone to tune in online to watch random skiers and snowboarders attempt the notoriously difficult run. Shoutout to u/Closet-PowPow on Reddit for pointing out this specific moment.
The camera isn’t always on, and it’s not clear exactly when it runs, but it was on throughout much of Thursday, January 8th, and it caught some magical moments. The video above features the entire day of Corbet’s skiing, with some people shredding it beautifully and others having a slightly more difficult time on the route.
We’d love it if every ski resort stuck a live camera right in front of their most notorious trail, but it probably creates a bit of a liability issue with morons hoping to show off so they can watch it back later. Nonetheless, thank you for the entertainment Jackson Hole.
