Mammoth and June Mountains will remain closed today to mitigate storm-related hazards. Mammoth was closed yesterday as well after two ski patrollers were caught in an avalanche on Lincoln Mountain at 7:30am (prior to the resort’s scheduled opening). One patroller sustained serious injuries and was transported out of the area for further care, the second patroller was evaluated with possible broken bones. Our thoughts are with the injured ski patrollers. Read Mammoth’s daily message to its guests below:
Mammoth Mountain Daily Message:
Mammoth and June Mountains will remain closed on Saturday, December 27 to allow mountain operations and patrol teams time to mitigate storm-related hazards across the entire mountain. We have received heavy snowfall and high winds over the last several days. Please do not access the Ski Area during this closure so our teams can work without interference. Although we know our guests are eager to ski and ride, we ask for your cooperation and understanding following this storm cycle.
