Two skiers, 59-years-old and 21-years-old, were taken to the hospital after falling from a Vail Mountain chairlift on Monday, December 15th. According to 9News, both skiers were from California, one from Sherman Oaks and one from Rancho Palos Verdes.

Vail Mountain Ski Patrol responded to the reports of the men falling from the Mountaintop Express, or Lift No. 4. Both were transported to Vail Health Hospital, though their conditions have not been released.

The incident is currently under review and, as of right now, the cause of the fall is not available. Vail’s Mountaintop Express Lift serves intermediate and advanced terrain, stretching toward an elevation of 11,250 feet.

This is the second chairlift accident reported in Colorado this season. On November 13th, a snowboarder fell from the Montezuma Express Lift at Keystone Resort and was taken to the Keystone Medical Center.
