Alta, Utah — If you follow Alta’s social media, you know they have world-class photographers. People like Lee Cohen and Rocko Menzyk work with the many talented skiers over there to create memorable content. But what does it take to create such memorable photography?
In a video by Alta athlete Tyler Peterson, he analyzes the creation of three of the most iconic (Ikon pun unfortunately intended) photos ever taken at the ski area. He also gets the perspective of famous photographer Lee Cohen and Brandon Ott (Director of Marketing at Alta). The three pics they dive into include a backflip that made it into Lee’s book and Mountain Magazine, the powder pals shot from the historic 2022-23 season, and a face shot that made it to the cover of Ski Magazine.
