Canada is home to a lot of incredible ski resorts, but according to PeakRankings, Lake Louise in Alberta’s Banff National Park is the most visually stunning in the country and easily among the most stunning in the world. Lake Louise sits against high and dramatic mountain peaks with a frozen lake right at its center, offering unforgettable scenery across the mountain. Of course the views aren’t all it has to offer.
Lake Louise’s terrain, especially for advanced and expert skiers, reliable snow quality, and well-managed lift system all make it among the top ski resorts in Canada. It features around 4,200 acres of skiable terrain with the new Richardson’s Ridge expansion, and its lift system tends to keep the crowds limited and moving.
There are a few drawbacks to the mountain. like its lengthy traverses and limited beginner and intermediate terrain. Additionally the area can see some seriously brutal cold spells, with temperatures dropping to -30ยฐF on occasion. That said, assuming you don’t wind up on the mountain during one of their coldest weeks, there’s a lot to enjoy around the Alberta resort.
