Incredibly close call captured on video on the picaresque slopes of Deer Valley, Utah where a 6-year-old skier very nearly got side swiped by a small herd of deer prancing across a trail.
The first two deer flew by in a blur of fur and as the young skier glanced to the right to see them run away, he turned his skis ever so slightly and inadvertently avoided getting t-boned by the third which was hot on their heels, lucky kid. It all happened so fast no one would believe how close this child came to getting struck by the passing cervids.
Thankfully the cameras were rolling and this near miss was documented. Just add deer to the many reasons why wearing a helmet while skiing is a wise idea. Wow.
