Bartlett, New Hampshire — One of the best ski resorts in the White Mountains is beginning its season this weekend with various improvements across its two peaks.
Earlier this week, Attitash General Manager Brandon Swartz detailed what’s new for the 2025-26 season. The improvements include a new food truck, snowmaking upgrades, a new deck at the Adventure Center, replacing the haul rope for the Learning Center chairlift, a refreshed locker room, and a new space for lifties.
For fans of apres, perhaps the most important announcement is the introduction of the mug club. Guests only need to pay $75 to get their own stoneware mug, which look so fresh and so clean.
Event-wise, Attitash After Dark, which features a torchlight and snowcat parade, is scheduled to return on January 31st.
Attitash was purchased by Vail Resorts in 2019. In its first few years under new ownership, it was plagued by what had haunted them prior: old lift infrastructure. Over the past several years, that has changed. Since 2022, Attitash has installed two new chairlifts, including the long-awaited replacement of the Summit Triple.
Unfortunately, last season at Attitash was marked by a chair detachment on the Flying Bear chairlift. This resulted in an injury to a guest. After the incident, Vail Resorts followed the proper protocols and reopened the lift in March, removing the aged carriers from the line.
Vail’s New Hampshire properties are gradually getting their seasons underway, with Wildcat opening on Wednesday, Sunapee opening today, and Attitash opening tomorrow. Crotched’s opening date is still TBD.
