If you’ve ever looked at a chairlift cable and thought, “I bet I could grind that”, know that you aren’t the first. Plenty of people have thought it, and a few have tried. Professional speedrider Valentin Delluc has done it a few times now, including this most recent one on a old chairlift in Morzine, France.

Speedriding is a wild combination of paragliding and skiing, using a small paragliding wing often to take off and land on snow. It’s allowed for some pretty incredible stunts, including sights of skiers flying over enormous cliffs and through stunning European villages. In this case, of course, it was used to accomplish a dream held by many.
