Jackson Hole Mountain Resort is set to kick off their 60th anniversary winter season this Thursday, December 4th, after delaying their opening day late last month. Continuous snowmaking efforts, 65 inches of snowfall at the summit, and 34 inches of snowfall mid-mountain have allowed for coverage across a significant portion of the north side of the resort.

Three lifts will be open for the first day of the season, including Teewinot, Aprรจs Vous, and the Sweetwater Gondola up to the Mid-Station. Beginner and intermediate terrain will be available, though early season conditions and hazards will exist.

The resort is hoping to announce addition terrain and lift openings heading into the weekend of December 6th-7th, or sooner if the conditions cooperate. The 2025-2026 winter season, the resort’s 60th Anniversary, will run until April 12th, lasting a total of 129 days. Several celebratory events will run throughout the season, including the 60th Anniversary celebration on Dec. 19.

โ€œWeโ€™re excited to kick off Jackson Hole Mountain Resortโ€™s 60th Anniversary season, a milestone that would not have been possible without the passion and hard work of our Mountain Operations team. With more snow in the forecast, we canโ€™t wait to welcome our first guests on Thursday and share some incredible days on the mountain together this winter. As we all know, thereโ€™s no bad day on snow, and this season promises plenty of memorable moments for everyone.” – Jackson Hole Mountain Resort CEO Doug Pierini.

As a reminder, Ikon Pass and Mountain Collective pass holders are required to makes reservations to access the lifts. Those with JHMR Winter 2025-26 Season Passes can ski or ride any day their pass allows without reservations. Daily ticket sales will also be limited to manage capacity on the resort. Purchase tickets or make reservations far ahead of time to guarantee a spot on the slopes.
