The world's first TRI-Line ropeway in Hoch-Ybrig.

The Doppelmayr Group concluded the construction of their first TRI-Line ropeway at the Swiss ski resort of Hoch Ybrig. The new ropeway is an innovation in performance, combining the advantages of the TGD system with the proven D-Line. It’s compact and powerful, representing further development of tricable technology.

Construction on the new TRI-Line ropeway began with the removal of the 55-year-old arial tramway that once stood in its place. The Doppelmayr Group followed the construction of the line through the video below.

The new TRI-Line ropeway is quite innovative in a variety of ways. It uses two track ropes and one haul rope to achieve high capacity and long spans, all while requiring fewer towers. It also marks the debut of CWA‘s new modular, lightweight Stella cabins, which allow customizable interiors and improved passenger comfort. It’s a completely new, more efficient, and safer ropeway system.
