Quebec — After not getting the thumbs up last year, it looks like the Audi FIS World Cup will be returning to Tremblant this time around.

Yesterday, Mont Tremblant began their 2025-26 season. In addition, FIS was on site to check out the course for its planned World Cup events. Unlike last year, they got a positive result.

Tremblant announced yesterday that they’ve received the thumbs up to host the FIS World Cup races on December 6th and 7th on the Flying Mile course.

“I am extremely proud of the work accomplished by the Tremblant team and our volunteers, who have worked tirelessly to prepare the course for the PwC Tremblant World Cup,” said Nicholas Cogger, Event Director for Tremblant. “We implemented improvements to the terrain and snowmaking capacity in the fall that are working, and we are thrilled to have the green light for next weekend’s races. The venue is ready to welcome the public, and the finish area has been optimized to provide an expanded view, no matter where you stand at the bottom of the racecourse.”

The weekend will feature two female races. This will feature Canadian athletes like Britt Richardson (Alberta), Cassidy Gray (BC), Justine Lamontagne (QC), and Valérie Grenier (Ontario). There will also be various festivities throughout the weekend, including lots of poutine, activities, and a live performance from Les Trois Accords.

“We are thrilled to be back in Tremblant,” said Therese Brisson, President and CEO of Alpine Canada. “I know this year’s edition will build on the momentum of the remarkable first one. The collaboration with the Tremblant community has been exceptional, and we all share the same goal: to deliver a world-class racing event for Canadians and fans, promote the growth of the sport, ensure a commercially and environmentally sustainable approach, and leave a lasting legacy for both the sport and the community.”

As mentioned above, Tremblant began its season on November 26th. They currently have seven trails and six lifts open, with more scheduled to open this weekend.
