But shockingly only one state in the top 5 is west of the Mississippi River. The other four are either on the East Coast or in the Midwest. These are the 5 U.S. states with the most ski areas.
5. New Hampshire – 30
- Bretton Woods is the largest ski area in the state, offering 464 acres of skiing and snowboarding.
- Wildcat Mountain, Attitash Mountain Resort, Mount Sunapee, and Crotched Mountain Resort are featured on the Epic Pass.
- Loon Mountain is featured on the Ikon Pass.
