Park City Mountain made the announcement Monday that is not going to hit its projected opening day scheduled for November 21st, 2025 due to minimal snowfall and mild temps:
“Winter is taking the scenic route to Park City. We’re all eager to get back on snow, but we’ve decided to hit the pause button on our target opening date of November 21st. Our snowmaking team is on standby and ready to roll once conditions line up. We’re ready, and we can’t wait to ski and ride together soon. We will keep you updated on a new date!” -Park City Mountain
Park City Mountain is not alone when it comes to Utah resorts who have had to push back opening day for the 2025/2026 ski season as Brian Head and Solitude have also delayed operations. Park City Mountain hasn’t yet announced a revised schedule to open and looks like high temps will be in the 40s for the rest of the week so don’t get your hopes up for the time being.
One thing is for sure, once it gets cold enough Park City Mountain’s snowmaking crews are primed and ready to fire up the snowguns to start laying down a base and the resort is itching to start spinning lifts. We will be sure to update when the resort issues an official opening day.
