Ranking the hardest ski resorts in North America is a difficult task, with many people preferring certain qualities over others. But PeakRankings took a look at the many ski areas around the continent and set out to rank the 10 hardest, with the list starting on the East Coast and ending in British Columbia.
10 Hardest Ski Resorts In North America
- Kicking Horse, British Columbia
- Jackson Hole, Wyoming
- Mount Baker, Washington
- Snowbird, Utah
- Palisades Tahoe, California
- Whistler Blackcomb, British Columbia
- Kirkwood, California
- Revelstoke, British Columbia
- Crested Butte, Colorado
- Mad River Glen, Vermont
Silverton Mountain in Colorado is included as a bonus resort. While it’s pretty well known as the most difficult, PeakRankings keeps it off the top 10 due to the fact that guides are required on the mountain throughout most of their season. It is evident that it’s the gnarliest ski area you can access by lift in North America, though.
