With the ski season kicking off across the northern hemisphere, Uber Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: UBER) just debuted a new way to reach your favorite winter destinations worldwide, Uber Ski.
Uber Ski allows riders to reserve a vehicle large enough to accommodate up to four passengers with trunk space for four sets of ski equipment. The service begins today and runs through the end of March. Uber Ski vehicles can be reserved up to 90 days in advance. Uber ski is currently available at ski destinations in the US, France, Switzerland (Canada coming soon).

Uber teamed up with Vail Resorts to create this streamlined travel planning tool and has integrated the option to purchase Epic Pass or Epic Day Pass directly through the Uber app.
“Paired with an Epic Pass, you’ll have seamless access to nearly 40 of the top mountains across North America and Europe.” -Uber
To use Uber Ski, open the traditional Uber app and tap the Uber Ski tile. From there you have the option to reserve an UberXL for up to 2 guests with gear or UberXXL for up to 4 guests with gear. If you wish to purchase season passes or lift tickets, you click on Epic Pass to access pass options available. Epic Passes are only available until they go off sale in December. After Epic Passes go off sale, purchasing lift tickets to Vail Resorts’ mountains through Uber Ski will still be available.
“We are thrilled to offer skiers and snowboarders alike a convenient and reliable way to get to the mountain this season. And, thanks to our new partnership with Epic Pass, everything you need for a great time on the slopes can be reserved with just a few taps in the Uber app. With Uber Ski, you can spend more time enjoying the fresh mountain air and less time worrying about how to get there.” –Adib Roumani, Director of Engineering at Uber
