Mammoth Mountain delays opening day.

Mammoth Mountain is moving their planned opening day from Friday, November 14th, to Saturday, November 15th, in a plan to take advantage of incoming cold weather and high snowfall totals.

We’re looking at a storm heading our way later this week, and we want to make our season kick-off the best it can be. To take full advantage of this new snow, we’ve made the call to move our official Opening Day to Saturday, November 15th. This gives Mother Nature and our ops team the time they need to get the mountain dialed in for some amazing first turns. Stay tuned for a detailed operational plan as we get closer.” – Mammoth Mountain

The storm is expected to bring between 16 and 26 inches of snow to the California ski resort, with around 8-13 inches of the highest quality snow coming between Thursday night and Friday.
